What is Emberleigh?

Everyone wants to talk about solutions without understanding the problem. Emberleigh is dedicated to exporting the problem. Finding the underlying issues of the symptoms you have noticed in your teams and in your workplace.

Emberleigh is a website full of problems. Someone somewhere has experienced the same problem as you and solved it. This resource attempts to distil decades of experience from expensive consultants into a self help guide. A bit like looking up medical symptoms online only for teams doing work. Where you can look up the challenges you can see with your teams an hopefully gain insights in to what might be the root cause of the problem. So you can make the changes that actually make a difference.

Humble beginnings

To start with I are going to document some of the most common problems I have seen and what causes them. Bit by bit building out a knowledge base and over time hopefully getting input from other experts in their field on the problems the solved.

Why Does Emberleigh exist?

To make understanding problems of your teams as simple as possible.

I see so many teams miserable and wasteful and it bothers me. Often their problems are entirely avoidable and I want to help. Over the last decade I have taken detailed notes on every problem that I have seen

I got annoyed by the overwhelming amount of frame works, practices, guides and books out there pushing solutions. 100s or even 1000s of things you can do to your team. But to apply the right practices at the right time you need to understand the root causes of the symptoms you see.

In fact after working with 100s of teams we found the same problems popping up again and again. Many problems are far more common than you think.
